Math Lab, led by the Denver Math Fellows program, provides students the opportunity to explore mathematics in a small group setting, usually 4 students to one instructor. Students expand their understanding of the grade-level math content through hands-on activities, discussion, exploration, and focused practice. Math fellows are fully integrated members of the Summit community, providing academic and character development support to students inside and outside the classroom.

Safe2Tell® provides young people a way to report any threatening behaviors or activities endangering themselves or someone they know, in a way that keeps them safe and anonymous. The strategy focuses on Colorado children and youth and the issues they face today. The model was based on the Columbine Commission Report’s recommendation that students need a safe and anonymous way to keep lines of communication open.  

The Heart & Sole program meets the specific needs of our middle-school girls. It inspires girls to embrace what makes them unique and provides opportunities to practice skills that foster healthy relationships. Creatively using physical activity, girls learn valuable life skills they can use at school, with friends, and at home.

Colorado Youth For A Change – Urban Education Service Corps has successfully organized parents, students and volunteers to implement outreach and enrollment and school attendance campaigns; promote the use and availability of city programs and services in school communities; assist students and encourage enrollment; organize mobile school registration directly in communities; and engage families and communities in school environments. All of these efforts serve to increase student enrollment, attendance and achievement in Denver Public Schools. 

Over the past few years, the Denver Public Library has partnered with Summit to provide students with books through the Bookmobile. In March of 2023, they visited Summit to share other resources and opportunities they have. Students can receive a library card to access many of the resources that Denver Public Library has to offer. These items include: museum and cultural passes, ideaLAB Makerspace, computer and technology support, Udemy (must have library card), and many more resources.
