Dear DPS Community,
The State of Colorado anticipates that if the government shutdown continues through tomorrow, Oct. 22, families who receive SNAP benefits will experience delays in disbursement for the month of November. The State will be sending communication directly to impacted households and will have their School Nutrition Team available to ensure families know how to access local food resources.
In the event that November SNAP benefits are delayed, our school meals at DPS will not be impacted. School breakfast and lunches will continue as normal and remain free to families.
If you need additional food before your SNAP benefits are available, contact these local organizations:
Colorado 211: Call 2-1-1, 866-760-6489 or visit 211colorado.org.
