DPS 101: A Community Leadership Course

Are you looking to build community and learn more about collaborative leadership? Do you have an idea or question that you are ready to explore with others in DPS, within a small cohort? DPS 101: A Community Leadership Course will study what leadership can mean and how DPS offices collaborate to ensure togetherness as a school district.

The DPS 101: A Community Leadership Course will travel through the inner workings of DPS departments, structures and systems, and offer learning opportunities to reflect on your own civic leadership or engagement story. Participants in DPS 101: A Community Leadership Course will leave with a deeper knowledge of department functions, civically minded attributes, and a sense of belonging.

The course consists of nine 2.5 hour meetings at the Emily Griffith Campus (1860 Lincoln St., Denver, CO 80203), scheduled for Sept. 4, Oct. 2, Dec. 4, Jan. 8, Feb. 5, March 12, April 2 and May 7 from 5:15 - 7:30 pm.

Who can participate?

Any DPS community member, whether you have a child/adolescent learning in DPS, or work with or for DPS.
