Your child may be eligible for free preschool hours through Colorado Universal Preschool (UPK). Apply for Oakland Elementary’s Early Childhood Education program today, especially if your student is Spanish speaking and will be enrolling in ECE-4!
Oakland Elementary offers nurturing, engaging, and multilingual preschool experiences designed to help every student thrive. Our ECE classrooms focus on building strong early literacy, social-emotional learning, creativity, and foundational academic skills through hands-on, play-based learning experiences in a supportive school community.
Students who turn 3 years old on or before October 1, 2026 will need to apply for ECE-3. Students who turn 4 years old on or before October 1, 2026 will need to apply for ECE-4. UPK ensures that every child, in the year before they are eligible for kindergarten, can receive up to 15 hours per week of free, state-funded preschool.
