North High and the Black Masque Theatre are overwhelmed by the incredible community and media support for Suffs the Musical, our spring production. What began as an ambitious vision to bring this powerful story of the women's suffrage movement to our stage has blossomed into something far greater than we ever anticipated. From our students collaborating to create the costumes and sets, to packed houses full of enthusiastic audience members, to generous coverage from local news outlets shining a spotlight on our cast and crew, and even a letter from Hillary Clinton, one of the producers of the Broadway show, the outpouring of enthusiasm has been truly humbling.

This production has resonated deeply with our community, sparking conversations about history, perseverance, and the ongoing fight for equality — and we are so grateful that our students get to be at the center of it all. To every donor, volunteer, journalist, family member, and supporter who has championed Suffs alongside us: thank you for reminding us why the arts matter. Keep Marching!
