Message from Dr. Larkin:
Earlier this year, I shared that our students have been growing leaps and bounds in their literacy development. Tomorrow, our school superintendent and a special guest will visit Lowry to celebrate our students’ growth and learning. Students are encouraged to wear blue and orange or Broncos gear. Look for photos on social media later this week!
What’s Happening at Lowry:
Thanks to the Lowry United Neighborhoods for providing over $500 worth of books for our Book Vending Machine! Our machine is overflowing and we can’t wait for students to access them (1 student per grade is selected to receive a book each week based on perfect attendance for the previous week).

Field Day is this Friday! It is a beloved school tradition and we would love for families to come cheer on their students. Please be sure you check in at the table by the main office to get a visitors sticker before going to Field Day. The Field Day schedule is listed in the “Important Dates” section above.
Next week, our students will be sharing their talents through the Variety Show (May 20: Kindergarten-2nd Grades; May 21: 3rd-5th Grades): please arrive by 1 p.m. so we can start on time. We are excited to see our students perform in front of their school friends and families! During the show, the DPS Family & Community Engagement Office will be in the school lobby to ask families to participate in a family engagement survey. We will receive the survey results in August and are looking forward to utilizing the data to inform our plans for the 2026-2027 school year!
If you are in need of child and adolescent health care, please reach out to the DPS School-based Health Centers (SBHC). They provide pediatric care at no-cost to students enrolled in DPS; The closest locations to Lowry are George Washington High School and Place Bridge Academy. Visit DenverHealth.org/SBHC to learn more about the programs.
In partnership,
Dr. Annie Larkin
