  • Please help us by thanking our wonderful teachers and staff with a delicious Teacher Appreciation Lunch on May 5, 2026. Please drop off food and items in the office on May 5th by 10:00 a.m. You can sign up on the available slots and send your special message using THIS LINK. Thank you so much!

  • We would like to celebrate our teachers during the Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8) with a special spirit day on May 8th (Friday).  May 8th will be "Dress Like A Teacher" day. This could be your student's current teacher, or any teacher or staff in the school. Students who do not want to participate should wear their uniforms.

May 5, Tuesday, Early Release at 1:15 pm

May 4-22 > Online Early Bird Registration Window for SY 2026-27 (next registration window starts on July 27th) https://schoolchoice.dpsk12.org/o/schoolchoice/page/online-registration 

  • The Early Bird Registration/Verification starts on May 4 and ends on May 22. This means that if your student is an incoming 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grader, then, families should complete the annual process of providing and updating student and family information on file, including emergency contacts, health information and more. Please secure your student’s spot by completing this online registration/verification process through the parent portal. After May 22, registration will open again late July for both online and in-person. We will be offering a couple of days for in-person registration in the first week of August. May 7 and 8 > Eye Love Care Exams 

  • Eye Love Care is bringing a full-service optometry clinic to our school on May 7 and 8, 2026 and is offering comprehensive eye exams and eyewear (if needed) to all students. Click HERE for more information and to fill out the intake/required forms. 

May 11-15, DPS Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy Week

  • Similar to our DPS Computer Science Week and Hour of Code, AI Literacy Week is designed to introduce students and teachers to AI to show that anybody can learn the basics and to broaden participation in the field of AI and computer science. We will have assemblies which are both informative and fun for all of our students.
