Dear Grant Ranch Families,
Welcome back! We hope you and your family had a joyful and restful summer. As we gear up for another amazing year at Grant Ranch ECE–8, we are thrilled to welcome our returning families and extend a warm greeting to those joining us for the first time. We are ready to make this year one filled with learning, growth, and strong community connections!
If you have not yet registered your student for the upcoming school year, please contact our front office as soon as possible. This ensures your child is on class rosters, has a seat ready, and is set to start the year strong.
School Hours: 8:50 a.m. – 3:50 p.m.
First Day of School Schedule:
Kindergarten – 6th Grade: August 18,
7th Grade: August 19
8th Grade and ECE: August 20
August 20 – All students are back on campus and learning together!
It is very important that students arrive on time each day so they can start their learning without missing valuable instructional minutes. We will be offering incentives and recognition for students who demonstrate great attendance and punctuality.
We have some exciting events coming up:
Playground Reveal – This Friday (8/15/25) at 3:00 PM we invite all families to join us as we officially open our new playgrounds for ECE, elementary, and middle school students. It’s a celebration you won’t want to miss! We will have popsicles and school swag.
Grant Ranch 5K Run – August 16 race starts at 8 am – Lace up your running (or walking) shoes! Join us for our community 5K to bring families, students, and staff together for fun, fitness, and celebration. We will start and finish at our school.
New and Exciting Opportunities for 2025–2026:
Student Leadership Council (3rd-8th grade)
Professional Learning Committee schedule / Data-Driven Instruction
Library Time for Elementary students (working on MS students)
Middle School PBIS Field Trips – More off-campus learning experiences aligned with our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.
Esports Lab – A dedicated gaming room where students can play Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros., and compete with other middle and high school students.
Increased Math & Literacy Interventions (MS) – More targeted instructional time during the school day to ensure every student thrives.
My Spark Program – Every Grant Ranch student will receive $1,000 to participate in enrichment opportunities. Deadline to apply: August 15 – don’t miss out!
School Gardens – Outdoor and indoor gardening projects for hands-on learning about sustainability, science, and nutrition.
DJ School – We are now a Southwest Denver satellite site for the Denver DJ School, giving students the chance to learn music mixing, performance, and audio production.
School Priorities for 2025–2026:
This year, our focus is on Math, Literacy, and Student Success. Our goal is to ensure every student grows academically, develops a love for learning, and feels supported socially and emotionally.
Important Policy Reminders:
No Cell Phone Policy – We will continue our no cell phone policy during school hours to maximize focus and learning. Phones must remain off and stored in their locker (MS) or away in their backpacks (Elem) throughout the day
Student Handbook – Here is our updated Student Handbook outlining school expectations, policies, and procedures. Parents/guardians must review and sign the handbook acknowledgment form and return it to the school.
Behavior (Discipline) Process – Our discipline system is designed to be fair, consistent, and focused on restorative practices. Consequences will align with district policy and our PBIS approach, ensuring students learn from mistakes while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all.
Other Important Updates:
New Secure Vestibule – All parents and visitors must enter through the main entrance for pick-up or drop-off. Please remember to bring your ID for entry.
Positive Behavior Systems – School-wide celebrations, field trips, and recognitions for students who demonstrate leadership, kindness, and responsibility.
We are proud to serve the Grant Ranch community and to work alongside our incredible staff, students, and families. Together, we will make this year one of the best yet at Grant Ranch.
Let’s get ready for a fantastic school year!
With excitement and gratitude,
Dr. CG
