Diploma

  1. If a student has not returned to school at ten consecutive full day absences, counselors will freeze the student’s schedule

  2. If a student returns after their schedule has been frozen, they will no longer be active on teacher rosters and will need to meet with their counselor to go over schedule changes, work on ICAP completion, and any other required district items that they may have missed

  3. After 15 consecutive days, transitions team will be contacted 

  4. After 20 consecutive days, student will be unenrolled

GED

The EGHS GED Attendance Policy based on the number of consecutive, unexcused absences:

  • 2: conversation with your teacher

  • 3: conversation with your counselor

  • 5: conversation with principal/assistant principal; your schedule may be frozen

  • 10: you are dropped from the program*

*After you are dropped, you can always re-enroll during one of EGHS’s monthly enrollment windows.
