Calling all parents interested in joining the Collaborative School Committee (CSC)!
The CSC is a committee that brings together families, staff and community members to create and implement a plan to promote high achievement at Brown International. The committee works with school leaders to provide feedback and recommendations on important school decisions, including ways to improve academic performance, budget priorities, and the school’s program. This advisory committee holds meetings (both in-person and virtual) throughout the school year, monthly (and often bi-monthly in January/February).
Brown’s CSC currently has three (3) positions open for next school year. There can be no more than two parents representing any singular grade. This is a two-year term commitment.
Interested in applying? Please fill out this form by April 30th at 6:00 pm.
After the deadline above has passed, if more people have applied than positions available, information about the applicants will be forwarded as a vote to all households with students at Brown.
If you’re potentially interested but have questions, please feel free to reach out to current CSC member Brooke Rinehart at brooke2252@gmail.com.
*While the committee is made up of a panel of voting members, the meetings are open to all parents, guardians, teachers and community members, and feedback is welcome from everyone! More on this to come next year, as we’d love to encourage attendance from those outside of the voting committee.
