Please join us in celebrating Deputy Chief Montoya, a proud graduate of Lincoln High School, who is retiring from the @Denver Police Department after 40 incredible years of dedicated service to the Denver Metro Area!
To mark this milestone, Montoya returned to Lincoln one last time, in uniform joined by several of his former classmates, fellow officers, Chief of Patrol, Aaron Sanchez and Chief Martinez for a photo in front of the school. We also pulled out their yearbooks, bringing back memories of where their journeys began.
Standing in front of Lincoln, flipping through those pages, Officer Montoya reflected on his high school days, surrounded by lifelong friends who have served alongside him in law enforcement.
Throughout his career, Officer Martinez never forgot where he came from. He’s remained a proud and present Lancer—from cheering in the stands at games in our gym to witnessing our back-to-back basketball state championships. His unwavering connection to Lincoln is a testament to the power of community and pride in your roots.
Thank you, Officer Montoya, for your decades of service and for always keeping Lincoln close to your heart. Your legacy makes our school and city proud!
