Stedman Students Honor the Brave

Nov. 8, 2016

Event Date: November 11, 2016

Stedman Elementary is presenting a Veteran’s Day Salute for all community members.

  • Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, 6 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 11,  10:45 to 11:15 a.m.

The event will be held at Stedman Elementary located at 2940 Dexter St., Denver, CO 80207 in the auditorium.

Honoring veterans is incredibly important to Clint Moore, Stedman music teacher and veteran. His music students know him as Mr. Moore. His military comrades know him as Chief Warrant Officer Moore. Moore’s students will perform in front of him and audiences of invited veterans and community members for a Veteran’s Day concert featuring music from “We Honor the Brave” musical.

Moore has been instrumental in teaching Stedman students about music and about the depth and meaning of Veteran’s Day, the different branches of the U.S. military and various aspects regarding life in the military. Before coming to Stedman to teach music, Moore was deployed to Iraq and Kuwait for over six months for Operation Inherent Resolve – a targeted operation against ISIL. He is a current member of the Colorado Army National Guard where he serves as a helicopter pilot.
