Event Date: May 12, 2017
Tune in to EDUCA Radio from 5-6 p.m. this Friday, May 12. Donna Cash, DPS Manager of Student Equity and Opportunity, will help us learn how Denver Public Schools will aim to lower suspension and expulsion rates for our youngest students, ECE through third grade.
Current suspension and expulsion practices are counterproductive to the mission of educating our young children. Challenging behaviors in our ECE through third-grade learners should be addressed with comprehensive and supportive approaches designed to teach, nurture and encourage positive social behaviors.
You can listen to the interview online by clicking here or tune in to EDUCA Radio 1090 AM at 5 p.m. this Friday. You might even win two tickets to the Denver Zoo. For information on EDUCA, visit www.educadps.org or on Facebook.
