Tom Boasberg and Teachers will Visit the Home of a Family to Help Promote Academic Success
Denver – Today, Superintendent Tom Boasberg will join DPS teachers from Columbian Elementary at one of their Parent Teacher Home Visits. Educators will meet with a third-grade student and her family at their home.
The goal of the Parent Teacher Home Visit Program is to build strong and positive relationships between families and schools. Each visit begins with the teacher asking about the family’s hopes and dreams for their child. By connecting directly with families, educators are working to ensure that both teachers and parents are mutually supportive and accountable to each other as they work to ensure success for students.
