Program Fosters Strong Relationships Between Educators and Families While Promoting Academic Success

Denver – On Tuesday, March 6, Denver Public Schools Superintendent Tom Boasberg will join educators from Johnson Elementary at a Parent Teacher Home Visit. Educators will meet with a first-grade student and his family to talk about their hopes and dreams for their child.

The goal of the Parent Teacher Home Visit Program is to build strong and positive relationships between families and schools. Each visit involves a discussion with families and educators about their student’s aspirations. By involving the parents and families, educators create a better chance of success for children.

Members of the media are invited to accompany Boasberg on his home visit. Please contact Alex Renteria at Alexandra_Renteria@dpsk12.org or 303-815-0413, if you would like to attend.
