I am nominating myself because I feel that I am a striving student and we deserved to be recognized! I feel that sometimes people expect youth to do good and go without rewards so I appreciate this opportunity.

  • I am a straight A student with a 4.1 gpa
  • I have majority college classes
  • I own a volunteer club at my school and have gained over 100 volunteer hours
  • I work with Steps to Success to prevent youth violence in my community
  • I am a intern with YAASPA (young aspiring American for social and political activism)
  • I am in the process of creating a podcast to highlight youth in my area who are doing good things and I think we may be able to collaborate as our missions match 🙂
  • I am a poet who talks about racism, emotions, self love, etc. and have won competitions (here is my social justice poem and visual) participate with the Power of One who is an organization who also works to prevent youth violence
  • VERY interested in attended a HBCU with a full ride and joining Greek Life! Maybe the AKA’s
  • Have participated in summits and meetings with our state rep. Jason Crow and other authority
  • I have participated and currently participate in college readiness programs ex) Minds Matter Colorado, Pre Colligete, MSU College Readiness summer program
