In DPS, we believe in the potential of every child, which is why our vision is that Every Child Succeeds.
Beginning in 2016, we challenged ourselves to look deeper at whether our schools are helping all students achieve their full potential.
We believe a great school is one that serves, challenges and supports all students well. We are especially concerned about closing opportunity gaps for our students who have been historically underserved in our nation’s public schools, including students of color, students in poverty, English language learners and students with special needs.
Ensuring our schools are serving all students well is an important area of focus on the 2017 School Performance Framework (SPF), which is why each school will receive an Academic Gaps rating that directly affects their overall SPF rating.

The SPF is part of our efforts to achieve our top Denver Plan 2020 goal: Great Schools in Every Neighborhood. Please visit greatschools.dpsk12.org to learn more about how we support all schools.
