Denver Public Schools to Reveal Round One SchoolChoice Results

Record Participation in DPS SchoolChoice from Over 27,000 Families

Denver – On Thursday, April 19, Denver Public Schools (DPS) will announce the results of the district’s enrollment process, SchoolChoice. The fair and transparent effort allows families to select their top five school choices for their transition-grade student. (Students in kindergarten, fifth and eighth grade are considered transition-grade students). SchoolChoice combines students’ top five preferences with each school’s admissions priorities and available space.

This is the seventh year of the SchoolChoice process and the first year for the online-only application system. DPS saw record participation from families, with over 27,000 online applications being submitted during the Round One SchoolChoice window, the largest participation DPS has seen to date.
