Dear DPS Community,
As the 2021-22 school year draws to a close, I want to thank our entire Denver Public Schools community for your efforts to keep the focus on our scholar’s learning throughout this school year. We celebrated our Class of 2022 as nearly 3,500 graduates earned the right to walk across the stage. We hosted 46 graduation ceremonies at the high school level. Family, friends, educators and other community members helped these graduates and our continuing students reach their goals. Thank you all for supporting our students, our community and each other throughout the school year.
While students and staff may not be in the buildings over the coming months, please know that I, along with the rest of DPS leadership, will continue to work hard on behalf of our students to ensure we fully support them and provide equitable education for all our scholars. So, please enjoy a restful summer break with your loved ones. I look forward to seeing you all when we return in August to hit the ground running for the 2022-23 school year.
In collaboration,
Dr. Alex Marrero
Superintendent
