This month marks our 10th year celebrating Career and College Success Month! In DPS we inspire, challenge and empower our students to take charge of their own education. We encourage students to explore a variety of paths as they discover and forge their own futures. Throughout October, we will highlight students of all ages who are actively engaged in their educational experience and have chosen their own paths to prepare for success after graduation.

DPS’ vision that Every Child Succeeds starts with the belief that all students, from the very first day they walk into a DPS school, can achieve at the highest levels and ultimately cross the graduation stage ready for careers, college and life. By 2020, 74% of all Colorado jobs will require education beyond high school, such as college, trade school, an apprenticeship or military service. DPS students will graduate with the choices and the tools to be successful in their chosen path – whether it’s workforce after graduation, continued training for specialized industry certifications,  joining the military or going to a two- or four-year college.

Make sure to follow DPS on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to be inspired by how our students are preparing for success in their career and college journey.  Celebrate during the month of October by sharing your own college and career plans using our hashtag, #MyPlanDPS.
