EDUCA Radio will speak with Curtis Gardner, director of outreach with the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club, and Alan Salgado, a participant in the program.
The Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club implements a range of programs for underserved youth that use soccer as a vehicle for social change. They work with a passionate team of coaches, staff and volunteers in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation. Annually, they train coaches how to deliver a free after-school programs that focus on mentorship and nutritional education. The program also provides free clinics, leagues and scholarship opportunities for youth to play in more competitive environments. For more information, visit rapidsyouthsoccer.org.
