Native American Photo Exhibit at GWHS

You’re invited to an artist reception featuring 21 George Washington High School (GWHS) Native American scholars’ black & white portraits.

  • WHEN: 2:30 – 4 p.m. Thursday, March 16
  • WHERE: George Washington High School, Pike’s Peak Lobby, 655 S Monaco Pkwy, Denver
  • WHAT: The portraits were taken by GWHS photography students in collaboration with DPS Native American Student Support/Title VI in the hopes to raise awareness about GWHS’s native student population and to instill cultural pride and achievement within GWHS Native American scholars. There will be Fry bread and a live drum performance by Gregg Shortman of the Assiniboine & Gros Ventre Tribes.
