National School Counselor Appreciation Week

Feb. 3, 2017

Event Date: February 06, 2017

National School Counseling Week is Feb. 6-10, 2017. This year’s theme is “School Counseling: Helping Students Realize Their Potential.”

Denver Public Schools’ counselors work intensely each year with students to help them reach graduation, and also with social/emotional learning, resiliency, career exploration and college admissions. Because of their work, DPS students are healthier, happier and achieving their dreams.

To focus attention on the unique contribution that school counselors make, National School Counseling Week is sponsored annually by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) to highlight the impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
