National Get Outdoors Day Colorado

Apr. 19, 2018

Event Date: June 09, 2018

Please join outdoor agencies and partners in celebrating the 11th annual National Get Outdoors Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 9, on the north shore of Sloan’s Lake Park in Denver, CO. This fun, family event is FREE and open to all ages and abilities. We’ll host fishing classes, paddling activities, live music, rock climbing, bike riding, and much more. Kids will also have the opportunity to earn their Junior Ranger Badge from the National Park Service and United States Forest Service. This event focuses on supporting healthy lifestyle choices, nature-based outdoor activities, education, and programs/organizations that provide ongoing opportunities for people to connect to the outdoors. In 2008, the United States Forest Service and American Recreation Coalition launched the very first National Get Outdoors Day to celebrate the outdoors and health. This event continues to thrive with celebrations throughout the country every year the second Saturday of June.
