Nov. 2, 2016

Event Date: November 04, 2016

Join EDUCA for a special radio broadcast in English on 1090-AM this Friday, Nov. 4, to learn about the School Performance Framework (SPF) and how schools are rated in Denver Public Schools (DPS).

5 to 6 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 4
Tune in to EDUCA Radio 1090-AM

Landon Mascarenaz, executive director in the DPS Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE), will discuss the School Performance Framework (SPF) and how this affects DPS schools and families. Just as teachers do in their classrooms, DPS relies on regular progress monitoring to determine how well schools are performing and how to help them reach their potential. The SPF is one tool DPS uses to do this.

What is the School Performance Framework?
The SPF is like a report card for schools, rating how well the school supports student growth and achievement, and how well it serves students and families. It also helps a school focus on its strengths and areas where improvement is needed. To learn more and access school results, visit spf.dpsk12.org.

Join the conversation by sending questions or comments via text message to 720-961-3775, or post on the EDUCA Radio Facebook page. Participants will be entered to win the DiscovermiTierra Community Passport, which includes one free family visit (up to five people) to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Denver Zoo, Butterfly Pavilion, Denver Botanic Gardens, Denver Art Museum, History Colorado and Museo de Las Americas.
