Join Virtual DPS Budget Community Meetings

All Denver Public School (DPS) community members are invited to attend an upcoming Budget Community Meeting to learn more about the district’s budget challenges, consider the long-term budget picture, pose questions, and discuss concerns. Covid-19 has dramatically changed our budget, and we face a shortfall of nearly $65 million for the 2020-21 school year and an ongoing gap of over $60 million annually in future years.

We are working hard to reduce our costs in a way that puts equity first and ensures all our students are academically successful. Our budget proposal focuses on equity, so we can maintain a high level of service to our students and families when they need it most, streamlines central support, and protects school budgets while we build a long-term solution for ongoing savings while working to protect our staffing levels in order to provide strong service to the community.

Please consider attending an upcoming virtual meeting:

Tuesday, June 23 4:00-5:30 p.m. This meeting will be held in English, with Spanish interpretations available.
Wednesday, June 24 6:30 – 8 p.m. This meeting will be held in Spanish, with English interpretations available.
Thursday, June 25 2:30 – 4 p.m. This meeting will be held in English, with Spanish interpretations available.
