The DPS community is remembering Kathy Hill, a beloved team member from the Department of Extended Learning and Community Schools. Kathy supported DPS’s kids in out-of-school time spaces for almost 20 years. She began working with DPS in 1999 as a daily sub and joined the DELCS team in 2011 as a Program Specialist at Dora Moore. Most recently, Kathy served as the Licensing and Quality Coordinator and a fierce advocate for equitable and safe spaces for every child across Discovery Link’s 46 sites. Kathy is the reason we see people’s faces in Outlook, as part of the work she did with the DPS Transformers team.
In addition to her service to DPS, Kathy was the dedicated parent of two sons and an accomplished dancer and member of the original Denver Broncos cheerleading squad. Kathy also published a book titled “I’m Just Being Me” in honor of her younger son.
Kathy Hill was a proud South High School Rebel – class of ’73. She was the personification of DPS core values and a loyal teammate.
