Have an Idea to Reinvent Public Education?

Apr. 10, 2017

Event Date: May 01, 2017

Do you have an idea that will change education? You can win up to $10,000 through the Imaginarium Design Challenge.

The Imaginarium, Denver Public Schools’ innovation lab using human-centered design, research and development methods to facilitate innovation at the school level, invests in “Community Innovators” who have an idea with the potential to radically reinvent public education.

The Design Challenge is your opportunity to pitch your great idea for the chance to win up to $10,000 to make it happen. The Design Challenge is open to any and all innovators who have a unique idea to solve a problem facing schools. Don’t worry, your idea doesn’t have to be an entirely new invention, fully developed, or ready to go. It just has to be a good, novel idea that meets a real need and shows some promise of improving equity in our schools.

You should apply if:

  • You are a teacher, K-12 student or community member with a unique solution to an education-based problem.
  • Your solution can directly impact students in Denver Public Schools.
  • You are looking for the right support and resources to get your idea off the ground and into school(s).

Tell us about your idea by submitting an application by 5 p.m. May 1.
