“I just want to be able to help little kids that don’t feel good because that’s what they did for me when I didn’t feel good is people helped me out,” said Emily Kesselring, student at Denver Online High School.
Kesselring knows all too well the power of one. She grew up with acute scoliosis, and ultimately had to have major back surgery as a child. Now after the life-changing surgery, she is giving back. She helps other patients by making and donating homemade blankets.
She is also serving in Denver Online High School’s Children’s Hospital Service program, where she helps lead service activities in the hospital’s main lobby. Watch her story and learn how Denver Online fits into her story of recovery and allowing her an opportunity to give back to her community.
