Students from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Early College recently participated Gentlemen’s Day, where mentors throughout the community joined forces to speak to the boys on what it means to be a gentleman.
Topics included etiquette, situational and environmental tactics, what your clothes say about you, aspiring authors and more. A panel of the adult mentors shared their experience and knowledge with the students, who could respond with their own questions. Students also learned how dress appropriately for different occasions and went home with new neckties and dress attire, thanks to Goodwill Services and donations from the community.
Speakers also addressed job opportunities, how being a gentleman can open the door to their future and advice on how to network. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Early College would like to thank all of the vendors, community partners and businesses who helped make this opportunity possible.
