Three freshman at Manual High School sat down with 9News reporter Kyle Clark on Friday, Sept. 9, to talk about the 15 years that had passed since Sept. 11, 2001 – which incidentally was the year all three students were born.
These students may not have an answer to “where were you on 9/11?”, but they understand and recognize the importance of that day in American history as all three are members of the JROTC program at Manual. Friday morning, these cadets participated in a ceremony to honor those who were lost on 9/11. Olivia Gillespie, Hakeem Henderson and Zenique Padilla visited with Clark about a variety of social topics, including terrorism, social tensions, police relations and their perspectives on the world today.
