National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 to Oct. 15) in the U.S. is a time when people celebrate the contributions, heritage and culture of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

Deputy Supt. Cordova has been an influential Latina and education leader in Colorado. A life-long Denver resident and DPS alumnus, Cordova has served in a variety of leadership roles within Team DPS at the elementary, middle, high school and district levels.
