Black. A Play About Race In Our Community

Apr. 19, 2017

Event Date: April 27, 2017

Join Denver Public Schools as Curious Theatre Company presents: Black. A play and discussion about race in our community. Written by Lamaria Aminah, a young, local writer, as part of the Curious New Voices project.

This startling and original play gets to the heart of the matter on communication between races and presents a great opening for a facilitated conversation about our own roles and voices regarding race in our community.

Students, parents and community members are encouraged to attend. RSVP for the event online.

DPS ED Talks are designed to bring educators and community members together to discuss issues affecting DPS schools and to help create an open environment to learn from each other in pursuit of the DPS vision Every Child Succeeds. For questions, email DPSequity@dpsk12.org.
