DPS Celebrates Early College Week April 22 – 28

Apr. 24, 2018

Happy Early College Week! College is now more accessible than ever for DPS students. Through partnerships with local colleges and universities, our Early College model allows students to take free college-level courses while in high school, and creates an intentional pathway that leads to a college degree. With Early College, you can earn a high school diploma, an industry certificate and up to 60 college credits.

Across the country, 80,000 high school students are earning free college credits at Early College High schools, and that number keeps on growing! We are celebrating all week long with our Early College schools and our partner, Jobs for the Future. Here in Denver, our Early College schools are: High Tech Early College, West Early College, CEC Early College, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Early College, Denver School of Innovation and Sustainable Design, Manuel High School and Southwest Early College.
