DENVER – As yesterday’s CMAS data showed, most Denver Public Schools students are not yet meeting grade-level proficiency. We recognize that we can’t continue to conduct business as usual. We have to do more. Today, we are excited to share our Strategic Roadmap, DPS Thrives, which will be our guide moving forward so that Every Learner Thrives.
DPS Thrives was built in collaboration and partnership with the DPS community. Starting with the listening and learning tour, to the transition team, and ultimately the development of the roadmap, we have grounded our future direction in what we have heard from our students, families, community, and team members.
It is designed so that our whole community is engaged, knows what part they play in this effort, and can rally behind this important work. We must improve all of the experiences: the DPS Experience, the Student Experience, the Adult Experience and the System Experience.
You can learn more about DPS Thrives here.
DPS Superintendent Dr. Alex Marrero will be available today, Aug. 18, from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. to discuss the Roadmap. This can be done by phone or in person at our Central Admin office, 1860 Lincoln Street.
