Mexican Government Grants $35,000 to Continue Free Educational Resource Kiosk for Families

Denver – On Friday, Dec. 1, Consul General Berenice Rendón Talavera and Denver Public Schools (DPS) Superintendent Tom Boasberg will officially sign an agreement that relaunches the Educational Orientation Kiosk located inside the Denver Mexican Consulate building. The Educational Orientation Kiosk, operated by DPS and serving the Spanish-speaking community, includes resources to help families navigate the Colorado, United States’ and Mexican educational systems.

The Mexican government will grant $35,000 to DPS to strengthen the district’s partnership with the Denver Mexican Consulate. The kiosk will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Information at the kiosk helps Spanish-speaking families new to Denver navigate the U.S. educational system and connects them with supports such as English language classes, early childhood education resources and GED programs.
