Students at Denison Montessori live the Montessori principle of “preparing students for their time and place.” During this holiday season, students have organized and collaborated on service projects. Two fourth-graders have facilitated a school-wide clothing drive and partnership with Clothes to Kids Denver, creating a flyer and a donation box, making announcements to classes, and organizing a bake sale to pay for new socks and underwear for students in need. Also, students throughout the school have created holiday greeting cards for people in nursing homes, in the military, and at Children’s Hospital, to extend some warm cheer for those who might need a positive connection. This is in addition to the fourth and fifth graders who tie-dyed and sold socks to raise funds for restoration in Puerto Rico. We are proud of our students for their initiative and compassion this holiday season!
