To prepare for career and college success, graduating seniors at West Early College stepped out of their classrooms and into Senior Round Up. With the partnership of INSPiRE, the day was structured to demystify the process required to pursue post-secondary education. It also creates room to validate students’ fears and struggles – things that they say have held them back from seeing college as either an option or something they are enthusiastic about pursuing.

“I really encourage you to do something that makes you passionate, that you love and see if your degree and career can go in that direction” shared Tim Sandos, a West Alumni and the current Executive Director at the Mayor’s Office of the North Denver Cornerstone Collaboration.

Sandos, along with eight other West Alumni, shared their stories as part of the Alumni Mentoring session. Other sessions included – Owning our Dreams, Overcoming Obstacles and College Applications.
