Abraham Lincoln’s Mark Beasley Awarded JROTC Instructor of the Year

JFK High School JROTC instructor Mark Beasley gets Instructor of the Year award

On Sept. 1, 2016, Master Sergeant Mark Beasley (right), instructor at Abraham Lincoln High School, was awarded the Army’s Outstanding Civil Service Award for being selected as the Army JROTC Instructor of Year.

“Abraham Lincoln is extremely proud of the work that Mark Beasley does for our students, and the acknowledgement his dedication has earned him as the top instructor in the worldwide JROTC program!” expressed Larry Irvin, principal at Abraham Lincoln.

Beasley was chosen among approximately 5,000 instructors worldwide. According to Principal Irvin, Beasley’s accomplishments as a teacher, coach and mentor have been instrumental in Lincoln’s JROTC program being one of the top units in the nation.
