The 6th annual East High School Arts Walk, from 5:30-8 p.m. May 11, brings together students and the community in a celebration of the Arts including: choir, dance, music, speech, theater, visual art and writing.
Eight venues at East High School (1600 City Park Esplanade) will offer a variety of two- and three-dimensional visual art and student performances. The stops on the East Arts Walk are free and open to the public.
In front of East High School, interactive arts and crafts will also be offered by East National Art Honor Society students, as well as art teachers from Hill Middle School and Teller Elementary School.
New to this year’s Arts Walk is an animation station and mini puppet workshop sponsored by The School of the Poetic City summer camp and led by art educators from Metro State University of Denver and other area schools.
Returning for the sixth year, the community will have a chance to tour East High School including the historic library and Clock Tower museum from 5:45-7:05 p.m..
