The world cup history is a interesting. It teach's as how the world cup was in the past and it teaches who was the best. For example, Pele from Brazil was number one soccer player in history. And Eusebio from Spain and is the second best player in history. And the third one is Maradonna from Argentina. He was the best player. After fifth places to tenth place is Cruff from Holland, Distefano from Spain, Garrincha from Brazil, Puskas from Hungar, Zidane from France and Yashin for USSR. There is another best player in history but the are a lot of them.  

Now lets talk about about world cup history. The first world cup was 1930, and they were only 13 teams. That is not a lot of them. And Urugualy won the first world cup. the second world cup was having 16 teams and Italy won the cup. In 1982 there were 24 teams. That was the first time in history it start to be 24 teams. After 16 years later in 1998 there were 32 teams and France won the world cup.

  
The last world cup was in Germany in 2006 and Italy beat France. The next world cup is going to be in 2010 in South Africa. There is going to be 32 teams.
