001 ADA COMPLIANCE - LEVEL 1 - Comply with DPS Design and Construction Standards SECTION 00700:ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS and all other applicable DPS Standards. See ADA Level 1 Database provided.Deficiency remedies provided in ADA database should serve as the PM guide only and should not be provided to theA/E for purposes of developing the project scope of work. A/E is directed to conduct a building survey limited to theareas identified in the survey. Other ADA deficiencies may be included if they meet the level 1 status and have notbeen identified in the survey. All questions of possible oversight of a deficiency shall be directed to DPS FacilityPlanning through the DPS Project Manager.

FINISH RESTORATION

001 FINISH RESTORATION - CARPET - Replace all worn classroom and office carpeting and base trim per DPSspecs. Coordinate all necessary hazmat testing and abatement with DPS HazMat PMs. Scope to includebreakdown and/or relocation of all non-fixed equipment. Maintain all vinyl flooring areas around sinks currentlyexisting in elementary areas. Munroe- estimated at 2780 syds, include all corridors connecting to the east wing.Classrooms in east wing should be included as an alternate and completed if funding permits. Tile in all corridorsand hallways and under sinks should be completed as an alternate if funding permits.

TOILET ROOM (INCLUSIVE)

001 Toilet Rooms (Inclusive) - Design for complete remodeling of all restrooms in the building, including restroomportion of all locker rooms. Comply with all applicable DPS Standards for design and construction. Comply withICC/ANSI A117.1 except where technically infeasible. A/E to include cost of work and repairs needed forinvestigation – DPS O&M will not be involved to assist w/ investigation. Plumbing includes replacement of allfixtures, replacement of concealed galvanized pipe with copper to below floor level to exposed section in crawl spaceor exposed below ceiling level. Design shall specify extent of pipe replacement, and shall be approved by DPSQA/QC. Wash basins shall be replaced with individual hand sinks. Design shall specify fixtures to be provided byDenver Water and installed by contractor. Existing ventilation systems shall be investigated for compliance withcurrent code requirements. Design shall specify needed improvements for mechanical ventilation in all restrooms.All lighting fixtures not conforming to DPS Design and Construction Standards shall be replaced with conformingfixtures. Coordinate w/ DPS Sustainability Planner. All toilet partitions shall be replaced. All flooring shall bereplaced with quarry tile. All walls, ceiling, and previously painted surfaces shall be repainted. Walls shall berepaired prior to repainting. At minimum, comply with DPS Level 1 ADA standards. Consult with DPS Planning.Coordinate with ADA Upgrade: 8223 GB80237.

Munroe - Design for remodeling of all restrooms in the older section of the building, including rooms H000CA,OFFCA, OFFD, KITA, GYMAA, GYMB, GYMC, H110A&B, H110F&G, H140A&B, H210A,B,C&D. All toiletpartitions shall be replaced. Except: GYMB. All flooring shall be replaced with quarry tile. Except: GYMAA,GYMB. All walls, ceiling, and previously painted surfaces shall be repainted. Structural glazed tile to be repairedprior to painting.

Replace all gaspipeand similiar stand supports bases with concete pavers, paint all existing gas piping per DPS specs. Replace andseal all existing pipe collars. Inspect/replace all applicable drains and gutters.
