Policy EGAD-R-1- Copyright Compliance (Computer Software)
In order to comply with copyright infringement statutes, individual software license agreements and Colorado computer crime statutes and to protect against the potential impacts of virus programs, district personnel will observe the following procedures.
1. District personnel will not violate federal laws concerning copyrights.
2. District personnel will not accept or make copies (other than archival) of copyrighted computer programs without the express written permission of the copyright owner.
3. District personnel will only install software on district computers for which a license has been legally obtained.
