Valdez sponsors Highlands Earth Day 2008

WHEN: Saturday, April 19, 2008 / 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
DESCRIPTION: Join us at the Highlands Earth Day 2008 - Putting Down Roots Together! We will come together for a day of service and fun on Saturday, April 19th, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. along with students from North High and Sandoval! Registration forms were sent home March 14th, but there is still time to register! Stop by the Valdez School Office and register your family as soon as possible. We will be painting a mural, planting 34 trees around campus, and revitalizing the community garden and memorial! We will also have some fun learning about Earth Day and cleaning up our campus. Breakfast, lunch, water and snacks will be provided! You can sign up for a half day, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM or stay all day and have twice the fun, twice the impact on our neighborhood! Come ready for some hard dirty work, and please be ready to work as a family, because children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
