DESCRIPTION: The Bookies Bookstore is bringing John Flanagan, the author of the series "Ranger's Apprentice", to the Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences on Monday, April 7, 2008. Flanagan is an Australian author and his seven book series is in the process of being published in our country. Three books are out: "The Ruins of Gorlan", "The Burning Bridge", and "The Icebound Land". The fourth, "The Battle of Skandia", will be published this month. It is a fantasy series about a young man involved in battles for good. For more information, please see the Ranger's Apprentice website. All four books will be on sale through The Bookies Bookstore at his presentations. He will do 3 grade level assemblies--- 8th grade: 1st/2nd hour 7:35-9:07 7th grade: 3rd/4th hour 9:11 a.m.-10:41 a.m. break: 5th hour 6th grade: 6th/7th hour 11:32 a.m.-1:02 p.m. He will also appear at The Bookies Bookstore, (4315 E. Mississippi Ave. Denver 303-759-1117) at 4:00 p.m. that afternoon.
