Ellis Elementary Begins 6-Week Bright Start Family Literacy Program

DESCRIPTION: Ellis Elementary School will begin a 6-week Bright Start Family Literacy Program starting Wednesday, January 16th. This free program is for Ellis ECE-5th grade Spanish Families. It is designed to help parents foster a lifelong love of reading, help parents develop an attitude of intellectual curiosity in their children, teach parents positive qualities to encourage in their children that contribute to being successful adults, incorporate positive and proactive parenting, parent-child communication and family development.
The Bright Start Family Literacy Program complements in-school education and helps parents to become more involved in the education of their children. It also helps teachers and school staff to increase their ability to communicate positively and more effectively with parents and students. Ellis is excited to have this program at Ellis.
