High School Of Choice Workshop For 8th Graders
WHERE: Skinner Middle School, 3435 W. 40th Ave. (at Julian)
WHEN: Monday, December 3, 2007 / 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
DESCRIPTION: : Skinner Middle School counselor, James Duran, will coach eighth grade students (from any middle school) and parents through the process of applying to schools of choice. The December 14th deadline for applications is fast approaching, so students can use this evening hour with a counselor and assistants to complete paper-work, write cover letters, have copies of teacher recommendation letters made, or just plain talk about the possibilities. This is an opportunity for students to get the one-on-one help they may need in planning for the future. All are welcome.
