Multicultural Night At McMeen Elementary School
WHERE: McMeen Elementary School, 1000 S. Holly
WHEN: Thursday, December 6, 2007 / 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
DESCRIPTION: Please join us for this fun evening of food, fashion, traveling, books, and fun!! All DPS families and employees are invited to attend. Multicultural Night is a free event that will include the following:
- Native Food Tasting - families of students will be asked to bring in and share their favorite dessert or appetizer that reflects their culture and heritage.
- International Fashion Show - Students will be putting on a fashion show wearing their native dress from their countries.
- Passport Around the World - each classroom will be picking a country and coming up with a display about the country. The kids will be given a Passport and will be given stamps or stickers for each country they visit.
- Book Fair - wonderful books for all grades will be for sale in the auditorium.
