Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences Hosts Rocky Mountain Academic Talent Search
WHERE: Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences, 451 Clermont Parkway
WHEN: Tuesday, November 27, 2007 / 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
DESCRIPTION: Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences will host Dr. Amy Rushneck, the University of Denver's Center for Innovative and Talented Youth Director. Dr. Rushneck will present to parents and students a history and understanding of the Rocky Mountain Academic Talent Search, and how it may be an asset for your academically talented child. Students who are eligible to apply to RMATS then have the opportunity to "experience taking an above-level or college entrance test." without a negative consequence. Per Dr. Rushneck, that test-taking experience alone has been shown to increase a student's test score by three points when testing for college admission.
There will be a half hour presentation followed by 15 minutes of questions and answers and light refreshments. All are welcome.
