Denver School of the Arts Fall Festival

WHERE: Denver School of the Arts, 7111 Montview Blvd.

WHEN: Saturday, October 20, 2007 - 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

DESCRIPTION: The annual arts-based fall celebrations takes place on October 20th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Denver School of the Arts (DSA) located at 7111 Montview Blvd. at Quebec. The day-long celebration includes a legendary celebrity pie toss where guests can throw cream pies at their favorite (or not so favorite) teachers and friends. The main attraction is often the Haunted House Tour created by seniors in the Stagecraft & Design Dept. who lead a spooky tour through some of the school's hidden rooms. Additional attractions include cookie decorating, ghost walks, face painting done by students plus a Trick or Treat Street. Students enrolled in the school's various art majors perform or run the many attractions available to the general public. Proceeds from the event benefit the school's art and academic programs at DSA, a Denver public school focused on arts and education. Activities require the purchase of event tickets but admission to the Festival is free. In addition to a host of good eats and activities geared for all ages, DSA also sponsors a special Halloween Movie Night. Movie Night begins as 5:00 p.m. and tickets will be on sale throughout the Fall Festival. A $10 ticket buys you dinner and a movie plus those in costume get a chance to enter DSA's annual Halloween Costume contest.
